November 2007
Andrew will be in a show at the Canadian Sculpture Centre, at 64 Merton St. Toronto, Ontario. The show is called "Joy" and dates are November 13 – December 7.

May 2007
Andrew will be having a show at the Grace Gallery, opening May 31, 2007.

 

April 2007

January 2007
Andrew will be in a show called " About Face, Contemporary portraiture in all media" at the CANADIAN SCULPTURE CENTRE, 64 Merton Street, Toronto ON.

December 2006
Andrew was the featured speaker at the Portrait Society of Canada’s 2006 Festival as well as a juror in the 2006 International Portrait Competition whose results were announced at the Festival in Toronto in December 2006. He joined jurors from Switzerland, China, Canada and the USA in awarding prizes to portrait artists from around the world.

July 2006
Andrew Benyei will have a one man show "EVERYMAN" at the Art Gallery of Mississauga July 20 to September 10, 2006. Opening Reception is Thursday July 20, 2006 at 6pm. Andrew Benyei will present an artist's talk at 7:30 pm on the night of the opening reception. Gallery hours are Weekdays 9am to 5pm Weekends noon to 4pm. Gallery admission is free

November 2005
The  Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham's announced its first portrait purchase/acquisition award to Andrew Benyei for his work "Public Opinion" now on exhibition in Portraits: Who and What Are You?. The exhibition was organized for the Varley by the OSA to explore new developments in portraiture. Gallery Director, John Ryerson said at the exhibition opening;"The Varley Art Gallery is committed to exploring FH Varley's legacy in portraiture. This exhibition moves us towards a view of portraits as a way of exploring our identity, a more inclusive and dynamic interpretation that we will continue to investigate with contemporary artists."

The exhibition runs until Nov. 27th, 2005 at the Varley, 216 Main St., Unionville, 905-477-9511.


Andrew will be in a show called "Celebrating Freedom and Achievements" to be held in the Stewart Hall Art Gallery in Pointe-Claire, Quebec in March 18th to April 20, 2006. The show willl celebrate the work of 14 Canadian- Hungarian visual artists – in a celebration of the achievements of Canadian Hungarian on the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. It celebrates the cultural diversity that is Canada. The exhibition will tour other venues in Ontario and the Maritimes and may tour Hungary in 2007. The exhibition will be crated by Joyce Millar, Director of the Stewart Hall Art Gallery.

Andrew will have a solo exhibition at the Art Gallery of  Mississauga, Mississauga Ontario in July and August, 2006. Details to come soon.

Fall 2004
On Monday, November 15th; Andrew will give a presentation with slides of his work to CHAC, the Canadian Hungarian Artists’ Collective, in Montreal at the Stewart Hall Art Centre in the gallery. Address is 176 Lakeshore Blvd., Pointe Claire , Quebec. Call 514-630-1245 for details.

On December 2, 2004, 7:30 to 9:30 pm Andrew will speak and give a sculpture demonstration at the Art Guild of Scarborough in Toronto Canada. Location: Cedarbrook Community Centre, 91 Eastpark Blvd. Scarborough. For details, call 416-292-3613

On Thursday December 9, Andrew will be a keynote speaker and demonstrator on “ Portraits in the Round “ at the annual Portrait Arts Festival in Toronto, Canada. Location is Jackman Hall at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto Canada. See www.portraitsocietyofcanada.com for details.

2003

Andrew is in a group show at the Canadian Sculpture Centre in Toronto until October 18, 2003, called "Endless 3D Tales". The show is part of Toronto's Artsweek celebration. The Centre's new address is 64 Merton St., Toronto.

Until October 31, Andrew is in a show "Celebrating Creative Life" with the Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada, at the Todmorden Mills Heritage Centre, 67 Pottery Rd. in Toronto. Opening reception is Sunday October 5th 2-5 pm
